He LOVES to get surprise gifts in the mail! This gift was a toy that once belonged to his daddy!

It is so much fun visiting a farm with his cousins and sister, especially when the farm is in Vermont and he gets to visit his Uncle!
Look at that sweet face! Happy Birthday Ashton, I miss you and love you very, very much. I wish I could be spending the day with you! My grandchildren live in Florida and I live in New Jersey, so it is difficult to be able to spend time with them. I wish with all my heart we lived close to each other, but we try and visit as often as we can. Last year I had my two grandsons spend part of the summer with us and my son and his family flew home with their children to visit and we went to Vermont for a family vacation and got to visit with my son who goes to school there and was working last summer for the college. The times we spend together are so special. If you have your grandchildren nearby you are truly blessed, enjoy them! I wish mine were nearer to me, but they are always in my heart and mind!

I am so happy my kids live close by so my grand children will as well. I can't imagine how hard it is. Thankfully in this day and age, there are so many ways to keep in touch and we send a picture off in moments!
ME again! Thanks so much for sweet comments. I am so looking forward to all the things you just mentioned. I taught 3-5 year olds for over 20 years and I loved seeing things through their eyes every day - I can only imagine as a Grammy how much better it will be!

We live in TN and my in laws live in New Jersey. We were just there visiting. Thank goodness for email, cell phones, texting, etc. It keeps my children close to their grandparents.
