OCTOBER SURPRISE

In politics they talk about an October Surprise. . .well, today we had an October Surprise, right here in Central New Jersey!

SNOW

Yes, SNOW, well, OK, snow flurries, but it still looks so pretty gently falling from the sky. It really is not sticking to the roads, just a bit here and there; on the grass, porch, car and birdbath. The flakes are big and they look like feathers. I had to take a photo so you can see some on the car and in the other photo it looks like rain, but no, it is for sure SNOW! I love snow, not driving in it or having to shovel, but the peacefulness of a snowfall. . .it makes me feel warm and cozy and it looks so pretty until it starts to melt and gets all dirty!
I hope we have warmer weather for the Trick or Treaters on Halloween. Yesterday I hung out some little wind socks to greet the little ones, I know when it was bitter cold or raining I always felt bad for my children because they LOVED to go Trick or Treating. Stormy weather takes so much of the fun out of it for them.

I hope wherever you may be that you are having a warm and cozy day!

Hi Martha,I am so glad I found your blog. I am a big fan of Raggedy Ann,and I think yours are some of the sweetest handmade ones I have seen. They are so very much like the original.. I am sure to come here often and visit you.

Blessings,Shelley

Nice! LOL! I know you may not think so, but we get so little snow here and I love it. I really, relly hope it snows this year. We got several flurries last year, but no real snow on the ground for 4 years. I want it!
Have a great week!
