Our Pug, Zoe. . .

I think Pugs are the sweetest of all dogs! Our Zoe is more child-like than dog-like, she is a sweet, loving, friendly, smart, obedient member of our family, our best friend. She is getting on in age and lately has not been feeling very well. Yesterday she went to the vet and had many tests done, she has an enlarged heart, thyroid problems (which she was given medication for), dry eye (Pugs are prone for this), problems with her hip among other things. This morning she has to go for an ultrasound because she may have bladder cancer. I hope the news does not, like the month of March, come in like a Lion, but rather like a Lamb and she is just getting old. . .the other ailments we can treat. This is a photo of her two summers again, catching some rays with Raggedy Ann.
We returned from the vet and our little Zoe does have bladder cancer. She said she will live out the rest of her life doing what she loves best, eating, sleeping, going for walks and in the evening being on the sofa with "her dad" watching TV (well, she is snoozing!) There really is nothing they can do for her, but we know what will do continue to give her lots and lots of love!

I am so sorry that it turned out to be bladder cancer. I am sure Zoe will live out the rest of her life knowing how much she is loved and cared for.

Oh, I'm sorry Martha. It sounds as if dear Zoe has had a good life and I'm sure she will have many good days ahead of her on this final journey. I send hugs to you and your husband.
