Hello

Again it seems as if time has flown by!  I cannot believe it has been a month since my daughter and I went to Florida!  We stayed beach front at Siesta Key Beach, the views from the living room windows were breathtaking.  The sky, surf, sand and all that the area had to offer made the trip special, BUT what made it the most special of all was spending time with my sons and their families.  The grandkids had sleepovers at the cottage. We celebrated my oldest son’s youngest son’s birthday with a cook-out and then a cookie cake! SiestaKey027  We even had an Easter egg hunt before we left since we were heading home on Good Friday.  I miss them all dearly.

We had a lot of fun, but then we had to come back to the real world.

I have been busy with projects around the house, I painted the master bedroom.  It was a green that was supposed to be Sage green, but the shade never made me happy.  I lived with it for five years and felt it was time for a makeover.  My husband had gone to Washington, DC for business so that was the perfect time for me to take on this project.  It is now a soft brown which seems to change colors depending on the time of day, it is called Basketry.  I love it, later I am going to have crown molding install.  (Much Later. . .in a few weeks we are going to have a new deck built and changes to the front porch).  It is hard to tell the color in this photo with the sun the room looks different shades of soft brown/tan and in the evening it is a nice warm color beige.  I now can change out the quilts on the bed and give the room a different look, I need to take a better photo.  The colors in the quilt are darker than this photo, it is red/grey blue/yellow gold and cream.001003

Our pug became ill. She was so sick and had to stay at the vets.  I am happy to say that now she is doing so much better and I pray that she never has to go there again for illness.

I also managed to make one, only one Raggedy Ann doll (you can see here on my header) and I have another one started, she is waiting for her arms and legs.

It seems to be feast or famine when it comes to me posting on my blog.  I bought a little HP notebook computer which is fun to use and I can drag it with me, hopefully now I will be able to keep my blog updated better! Until next time, God Bless and happy days to one and all!
