A Little Bit More of Halloween

A few years back my daughter gave me some postcards, they are reproductions of the vintage cards. I loved them and tried several ways to display them. Yesterday I was shopping and found this frame for $3.00, it works perfectly to display my cards, I hung it on the door of my pie safe in the kitchen, right in keeping with my table-scape of ghouls!
This is a little Witch Doll my daughter made me way back when. I bought a pre-printed fabric to make this doll, when I came home from work one day she had made it all by herself! I love this friendly little Witch, every year she comes out and is displayed, there was a little kitty but he must have run off because for two years I have not been able to find him!
I also found this Jack-O-Lantern and hung it in my living room window, at night I have a little battery operated light which flickers that I put inside. When I look at it it reminds me of my children when they were very young, they loved all the Halloween decorations and loved to make Jack-O-Lanterns, on Halloween night they would have a dinner of hot dogs/beans/bread and chocolate milk, then I would dress them in their costumes and off to Trick or Treating we would go, I miss that a lot. When they were older they went with their friends and then in a blink of an eye they were no longer interested in Trick or Treating.
I still have the costume I made for my oldest son and each one of them wore that costume, it was my tradition. It was a cape made from orange fabric with a pumpkin stem hat, the cape had leaves appliqued on it, something simple to dress a wee one in with warm clothing underneath, I can still see each one of them wearing it! I may start a new tradition and display that. . .just for old time's sake.

What a great idea for displaying your postcards! I love old postcards. The graphics on them are so neat!
Have a great day!
